Keith Oscar (K.O.) Fuller, 88, of McPherson, KS started his eternal life on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at McPherson Hospital in McPherson, KS.
K.O. was born on March 22, 1935, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the oldest child of Keith and Alene (Ferrell) Fuller. K.O. grew up on the Skelly Oil Camp south of Chase during the Great Depression.
He graduated from Chase High School. Then received his Bachelor of Science in Education from Sterling College in 1961. In 1966, he obtained his Masters of Science degree from Kansas State College of Emporia.
On August 2, 1956, K.O. was united in marriage to Nadine J. Schmidt at Antioch Friends Church in Stafford County. The couple was blessed with 3 children, Brian Keith, Shannon Kay and Kimberly Kay.
K.O. was a retired teacher of nearly 50 years, having taught at Chase, McPherson Middle School and later, at the Kansas State Industrial Reformatory in Hutchinson, Kansas.
K.O. was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. He was a deacon, taught bible classes and was very active in the church. K.O. was also a 4-H leader; being a community leader as well as project leader for various projects.
K.O. had many hobbies, but was best known for all things fishing. Other hobbies included gardening, woodworking, car repair and restoration, Karate, investments, and small engine repair.
K.O. cherished his grandchildren and was available to help them out whether it be with woodworking projects, teaching how to invest, fishing or giving advice as only he could. He was proud of their accomplishments and attended most of their sporting activities, music concerts, 4-H events and anything else they were involved in.
K.O. is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 66 years, Nadine; three children, a son, Brian Fuller, and daughters, Shannon Fuller and Kim (Richard) Reazin; a brother, Pete Fuller (Brenda), 12 grandchildren, Tyler (Addie) Clary, Andrew Fuller, Benny (Andrea) Clary, Shelby (Jake) Skillet, Austin Clary, Cole (Selena) Reazin, Zachary Fuller, Moriah Fuller, Kaytlynn Kuder, Josiah Fuller, Jordan Fuller and Charity Fuller; 8 great-children; nieces, nephews, numerous relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen Jean.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, June 9, at McPherson Church of Christ. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
