Karen Rathbun

Karen Kay Rathbun, 70, of McPherson, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. She was a retired manager of the Electronics Department at Wal-Mart. She also had worked at Don’s Studio in McPherson. She had lived in McPherson since 1971, formerly of Mankato.

Karen was born on October 13, 1940, in Mankato, Kansas, the daughter of Charles Edward and Geraldine Etta (Chase) Andrews. She graduated from Montrose, Kansas high school in 1958. She was united in marriage to Howard W. “Choc” Rathbun on May 3, 1958, in Mankato, KS.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Ferguson officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Mankato, KS. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Stockham Family Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: husband, Howard W. “Choc” Rathbun of the home; son, Curtis Rathbun of Salina, KS; granddaughter, Ashley Tucker (Deron) of Salina, KS; brother, Charles Junior Andrews (Sandy) of Topeka, KS; sisters, Avis Isaac of Mankato, KS, Glenda Ferguson (Dan) of Pratt, KS; and Ronda Ost (Larry) of Mankato, KS; and several nieces & nephews.
