Judy Ann Nikkel, 75, of Inman, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2019, surrounded by family at Ascension Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.
Judy was born on July 15, 1943, in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Edward P. and Rosella (Penner) Barkman. On October 18, 1968, she was united in marriage to Stanley James Nikkel at Greenland Church in Manitoba, Canada.
She was a member of Smoky Hills Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Windom, KS.
Survivors include: her husband, Stanley of the home; two sons, Chad (Rachelle) Nikkel of Scottsdale, AZ and Greg (Julie) Nikkel of Leesburg, OH; four grandchildren, Zachary, Shaina, Kaylee, and Mariah; nine siblings, Weston (Wilma) Barkman of Swan River, MB, Lois (Marvin) Warkentin of Grandview, MB, Kathy (Howard) Penner of Norquay, SK, Dennis (Carol) Barkman of Swan River, MB, David (Karen) Barkman of Kelowna, BC, Darlene (Gordon) Harris of St. Andrews, MB, Glenna (Les) Giesbrecht of Elma, MB, Galen (Charlene) Barkman of Morven, NC, and Ruth (James) Bartel of Benito, MB.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gerald Barkman.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 17, 2019, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Inman, KS). Burial will follow at the Zion Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 16, at the church with family receiving friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
