Joshua B. Gepner

Joshua Bruce Gepner, 24, of Ellsworth, KS and formerly of McPherson, KS, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2015, as a result of an automobile accident near Bavaria, Kansas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Joshua was born on May 10, 1990, in McPherson, KS, the son of Randy Bruce Gepner and Tonya Rae Murray. He attended McPherson High School and graduated from Quivira Heights High School in Bushton, KS, while living in the home of Joel and Deb Hosman.

Survivors include: mother, Tonya Murray of McPherson, KS; father, Randy Gepner of McPherson, KS; sister, Amber Gepner of Larned, KS; a nephew, Brycen Lee Parker; aunts & uncles, Linda Pontious of McPherson, KS, Karen and George Kagle of McPherson, KS; Vincent “Ish” Murray of Ada, OK, Dusty Murray of Ponca City, OK; and Dan Murray of Winfield, KS; Carol Price of Vera Beach, FL, Steve Gepner of Moundridge, KS, Deanna Toland of Clinton, OK, Jeff Gepner of Enid, OK, Cynthia Power of Marquette, KS, cousins, Trey and Sandy Pontious of McPherson, KS, Benny Pontious of Ponca City, OK, Charles and LaVon Pontious of McPherson, KS, Anthony Gepner of Encinatas, CA, Ronda Olson of Shreveport, LA, Ryan Leathers of Costa Rica, Rustin Leathers of Chicago, IL, Christina Snyder and husband, Terry, Melinda Evans and husband, Evan, Rebecca Powers and husband, Doug, Melissa Trowbridge, Shane Gepner, Lisa Mount, Jake Edgington, Josh Edgington, Monica Bittel, Aaron Power, Lacey Nichols, Kerri Cooper, Chris Gepner, and Timothy Gepner.

He was preceded in death by Stanley Gepner, Theresa Leathers, and Deborah Kelso.

A three day wake will be held at his mother’s home, 446 South Fisher in McPherson, from Friday, Jan. 9, through Sunday, Jan. 11. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 12, 2015, at the Washunga Cemetery, near Newkirk, OK.
