Josephine “Jo” Alice Graham, 99, of Marquette, KS, peacefully passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Riverview Estates, Marquette. She was a retired sales clerk for JCPenney.
Josephine was born on January 19, 1923, in Denison Township, Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Malcom and Lena May (Pierson) Potts. On May 20, 1939, she was united in marriage to Lewis Leslie Graham. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1997.
She attended Marquette United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, carving, gardening, and reading.
Survivors include: a son, Lewis Christopher Graham (Barbara) of Abilene, KS; brothers, James Potts of Bridgeport, IL and Chester Potts (Lynette) of Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren, Curtis Graham (Kathy), Natalie Davey (Lynn), Brenda Hoffman (Tom), Allen Geren (Susan), Kevin Geren (Janet), Todd Graham (Brenda), and Andrea Willems (Greg Hopp); numerous great-grandchildren, extended family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Walter Potts, Phillip Potts, Mary Agnus Beal, Juanita Barnhart, and Edith Potts; children, Michael D. Graham and Marsha K. Geren; great-grandchildren, Michael Scott Matthews, Michael Todd Graham, and Marcie Geren.
The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at Marquette United Methodist Church with Pastor Brenda Hogan officiating. Burial will follow at the Marquette Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Marquette United Methodist Church, Salina Rescue Mission, or Riverview Estates in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
