John H. Moore

John H. Moore, 69, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at his home in McPherson.  John retired from NCRA Refinery, where he worked in the Alkylation Unit. 

John was born on December 20, 1952, the son of Lester Elmer and Wilma Fern (Lewis) Moore.  He graduated from Pawnee Rock High School in 1970 and attended Barton County Community College.  On December 17, 1983, John was united in marriage to Priscilla Stegman in Lindsborg, KS.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Priscilla; two sons, Sean Moore (Whitney) of McPherson, KS and Will Moore (Jillian) of Manhattan, KS; four grandchildren, Cason Moore, Kinlee Moore, Elizabeth Moore, and Abigail Moore; three sisters, Vera Schmidt (Sandy) of Larned, KS, Linda Brack (Brian) of Otis, KS, and Wilda Daubert of Wichita, KS; two brothers, Jim Moore (Jayne) Burnett, TX and Chuck Moore (Janice) of Otis, KS; and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Shirla Kirmer, Donna Schlegal, Carol DeVault, Leonard Moore, and Clark Moore.

A Celebration of Life (come & go) will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the McPherson American Legion Post #24. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be payable to Priscilla Moore for the grandchildren’s education fund in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
