John Horun

John M. Horun, 54, of McPherson, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at his home in McPherson. He was the lead maintenance man at CertainTeed, working there 29 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam era.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 5, 2010, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, McPherson with Father David Lies officiating. Visitation is from 1:00 to 3:30 PM, Saturday, April 3, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Rosary will begin at 3:30 pm at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.

Survivors include: wife, Sherri L. Horun of the home; son, Justin Horun of McClouth, KS; step-son, Shawn Lutman of McPherson; mother, Elfriede Horun of Lindsborg; sisters, Doris Olson and husband, Doug, of Lindsborg and Susie Morel and husband, Bryan, of Lindsborg; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas "Nick" Horun, Jr.
