Jimmy R. Geren

Jimmy Ray Geren, 81, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at his home in McPherson. He retired from Johns Manville.

Jim was born September 13, 1939, in Independence, KS, the son of Floyd Ray and Ora Jane (Musgrove) Geren. Jim was united in marriage to Marsha K. Graham, and this union was blessed with three children, Brenda, Allen, and Kevin. He later married Susan Woodring. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2018.

Survivors include: three children, Brenda Hoffman (Tom) of McPherson, KS, Allen Geren (Susan) of Galva, KS, and Kevin Geren (Janet) of Marion, KS; four siblings, Alvin Geren (Margaret) of Windom, KS, Sue Robertson (John Harper) of McPherson, KS, Bertha Cutsinger of Inman, KS, and Patricia Pennington (Mike) of Miami, OK; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings, Leon Geren, Marjorie Williams, Kenny Geren, and Thelma Teasley; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
