Jessica Hanson

Jessica Dawn Hanson, 50, of McPherson, KS and formerly of Marquette and Little River, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

She was born May 21, 1973, in McPherson, KS.  She graduated from Little River High School in 1991, received a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Kansas State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Columbia Southern University.

Jessica was a Sr. Certified Pharmacy Technician and worked for pharmacies at Dillons, Walgreens, McPherson Center for Health, and The Medicine Shoppe.

She attended the First Baptist Church, McPherson, and volunteered at the McPherson Hospital Gift Shop.

Survivors include: aunts & uncle, Carmena Burchfield (Sam) of Wichita, KS, Marilyn Bradbury (Phil) of St. George, UT, Dean Hanson (Sherry) of Hendersonville, NC, and Jody Schooler (Keith) of McPherson, KS; and numerous cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lynette Gay Hanson, and sister, Bobbi Jo.

The memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 29, 2024, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Pattison Officiating.  Inurnment will follow at McPherson Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time, Monday, at the church.
