Jeffrey Cummings

Jeffrey Glen Cummings, 56, of McPherson, KS and formerly of Pawhuska, OK and Prineville, OR, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at McPherson Hospital.  He was a cook at McPherson College and previously had cooked at various restaurants and assisted living facilities.

Jeffrey was born on June 9, 1967, in Ogden, UT, the son of Glen W. and Jean R. (Kendell) Cummings.  He attended Tooele High School in Tooele, UT.  On May 6, 2016, Jeffrey was united in marriage to Shilo Marie La Fon in Prineville, OR. 

Survivors include: his loving wife, Shilo La Fon of McPherson, KS; six children, Natasha, Spencer, Lillee, Cheyenne, D.J., and SkylaRae; father, Glen Cummings of Utah; mother, Jean Dunn of Tooele, UT; a brother, Dennis Stephens of Ogden, UT; a sister, Shawna of Tooele, UT; two grandchildren, Jammie and Jasmine; mother-in-law, Machelle Carter of McPherson, KS; and many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Jeffrey’s life will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, August 21, 2023, at Memorial Park (corner of West Kansas and North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460).
