Jay Frazier

Jay L. Frazier, 79, of McPherson, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Via Christi - St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. He was a biology teacher, boy's basketball coach, and Activities Director at McPherson High School, retiring in 1990. While coaching Bullpup basketball for 26 years he led the team to three state championships and four 2nd place finishes with a win-loss record of 409-160.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 22, at the First United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in McPherson Cemetery at a later date. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: his wife, Pauline of the home; two sons, Mike Frazier of Zionsville, IN and Jeff Frazier of San Bernardino, CA; a daughter Jan Waring of John's Island, SC; a brother, Dr. L. Thane Frazier of Lyons, KS; a sister, Gwen Sell of LaCrosse, KS; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Kimbrel.
