Janet L. Tuell

Janet Lynn Tuell, 74, of Mesa, AZ and formerly of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa, AZ. 

Janet was born on August 12, 1949, in Salina, KS, the daughter of James W. and Beth N. (Cassell) Roe.  She graduated from McPherson High School in 1968.  On March 31, 1968, Janet was united in marriage to Douglas R. Tuell at the First Christian Church in McPherson.  This union was blessed with two sons, Shawn and Tyson.

While living in McPherson, Janet was the head baker for USD 418 and was the kitchen manager for McPherson Head Start program.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 55 years, Doug; a son, Tyson Tuell and wife, April, of Moundridge, KS; a brother, Ronald Roe and life partner, Jeanie Fritscher, of Iowa and Arizona; six grandchildren, Gemini Tuell, Anthony Huff, Cody Harter, Joaquin Huff, Julius Huff, and Karina Chapa; three great-grandchildren, Liam Tuell, Teagan Tuell, and Elijah Carrothers; and many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Beth Roe; a brother, Stephen Roe; and a son, Shawn Branden Tuell.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Viewpoint RV Center in Mesa, AZ.  A second memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the First Christian Church with Rev. Lynn Scott officiating.  Inurnment will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
