Janell E. Meyer, 82, of Hesston and formerly of Newton and Wichita, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. Before retirement, she owned and operated a Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio in Wichita.
She was born March 6, 1932, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Erwin Henry and Buela Elbina (Hardie) Meyer. She had been a Hesston resident since 2010, moving from Newton. Janell was a graduate of Central Academy in McPherson and a member of Golden Plains Free Methodist Church, Newton.
Survivors include: a son, Randy Clark (Dana) of McPherson; two daughters, Cathy Stockham (Quentin) of Ash Grove, MO and Sandy Clark of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Shawn Stockham (Kim) of Mesa, AZ, Nikki Sample (Ryan) of Wichita; Kim Ladd (Rick) of Pretty Prairie, Brian Weber (Shiela) of Hutchinson, Danny Clark (Jordan) of Wellington, Christy Randa (Brennon) of McPherson, and Katie Church (Trevor) of Wellington; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 25, 2014, at Golden Plains Free Methodist Church in Newton with Rev. Jean Bergrun officiating. Inurnment will take place in Kansas City, Kansas at a later date.
