James D. "Jingles" Rogers, 70, of McPherson and formerly of Fairplay, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2009, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near McPherson.
James had worked on the ski patrol in Breckenridge, Colorado for over 30 years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as an avionics technician.
A private family graveside service will be on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at the Empire Cemtery, Galva, KS with military honors conducted by the V.F.W.Post #2715 and the American Legion Post #24. There will be no visitation.
Survivors include: sister-in-law, Pauline Rogers of Galva, KS; niece, Tamlyn Jo Hoppes of High Springs, FL; three great-nieces and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold E. "Gene" Rogers, who died June 16, 2009.
