James "Jim" Black

James "Jim" Black, 78, of McPherson, KS, passed away at his home in McPherson on August 18, 2023. He was born on October 16, 1944, in McPherson, Kansas. Jim was the beloved son of Hobert "Blackie" Black and LaLois Marie (Turner) Black.

Jim received his education at McPherson High School and later attended Kansas State University. He attended the McPherson Church of Christ.

He was a devoted father to his son, Tyler, who resides in McPherson. In addition to his role as a loving father, Jim held a special place in the hearts of his sister, Joleta Stucky and her husband, Del, of McPherson, as well as  Jim's nephews, Kelly Kaufman and Kory Kaufman.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
