Jalane Nelson

Jalane Marie Nelson, 43, of Windom, Kansas, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. Jalane was born on July 22, 1966, in McPherson, Kansas. She graduated from Little River High School in 1984. She served in the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1990. After being honorably discharged, she worked for the Little River State Bank while she attended and graduated from Hutchinson Community College and Sterling College, Sterling, KS. She was a homemaker and mother.

A Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Andover Lutheran Church, Windom, KS with Pastor Thomas Hallowell presiding. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, June 1, in the fellowship hall of Andover Lutheran Church from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Inurnment will be at the Andover Cemetery with Military Burial Honors.

Survivors include: husband, Philip T. Nelson of the home; three sons, Justin, Jonah, and Jacob Nelson of the home; parents, Jerry Merrill of McPherson, KS and Merlene Halbert of Hutchinson, KS; grandmothers, Vesta Merrill of McPherson, KS and Frances Townley of Ponca City, OK; sister, Barbra Sauer (Rob) of Mt. Hope, KS; brother, Shawn Merrill (Cherise) of Hutchinson, KS; father/mother-in-law, Verlyn and Wanda Nelson of Windom, KS; uncles, Terry Merrill (died same day) and Harold Townley (Sandie) of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Cheri Aufdemberge (Roger) of Mitchell, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
