J. Chisholm

J Emerson Chisholm, 88, of McPherson, died Monday, April 5, 2004, at Memorial Hospital. He was self employed with interests in farming and investments.

He was born June 9, 1915, at Roxbury, KS, the son of Will E. and Olive (Lindell) Chisholm. He was a graduate of McPherson College and had been a McPherson resident since 1964, moving from Roxbury.

During World War II, Mr. Chisholm served in the US Army Air Corps. He was stationed in the Pacific Theater of Operations and was an Aircraft Crew Chief. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #24.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 8, at the First United Methodist Church. Burial with Military Honors will be at McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

He is survived by; his wife Mickey of the home; a son, Jack Chisholm, and wife, Stephanie, of Overland Park, KS; a daughter, Sue Calhoun of Shorewood, MN; five grandchildren, Michelle, Christine, & Laura Chisholm, and Blake & Casey Calhoun.
