Ina Jones

Ina Grace Jones, 87, died October 1, 2004, at Infinia Health Center, McPherson. She was a resident of McPherson since 1937 and had retired from the underwriting department at Farmers Alliance Insurance Co., McPherson.

She was born March 8, 1917, at Palahatchie, Mississippi, the daughter of Ernest and Ellen (Weaver) Ward. On April 17, 1937, she married Carl J. Jones at Mena, Arkansas.

Survivors include: her husband, Carl; two sons, Michael L. Jones of Omaha, NE, and Larry C. Jones of McPherson; two brothers, Jack Ward of Wichita and Carl Ward of Stroud, OK; a sister, Betty Malcomb of Wichita; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Les Cantrell officiating. Interment will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
