Horst Eigruber

Horst Eigruber, 84, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, surrounded by family at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.  He was a past President of American Maplan.

Horst was born on August 8, 1939, in Linz, Austria, the son of August and Johanna (Spazenegger) Eigruber.  On October 14, 1983, Horst was united in marriage to Irmengard Schoelderle at Feldafing, Germany.

He was an Austrian Army Veteran and was a member of the McPherson American Legion Post #24.

Survivors include: his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Irmengard “Irmgard” of the home; four children, Barbara Sattler (Alexander) of Austria, Sebastian Eigruber (Barbara) of Austria, Ferdi Eigruber of McPherson, KS, and Anna Anders (Eric) of Denver, CO; three grandchildren, Isabella Sattler, Paul Eigruber, and Pia Eigruber; a sister, Inge Resch of Austria; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

A Celebration of Life (come and go) will be held from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the McPherson Opera House Grand Ballroom, 219 South Main St., McPherson, KS 67460.
