Herman Janzen

Herman W. Janzen, 79, of McPherson, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2006, at Infinia Health Center, McPherson. He was born September 19, 1927, in Inola, Oklahoma, the son of Henry H. and Lena (Schroeder) Janzen. He had been a McPherson resident since 1977, formerly of Topeka, Kansas. He had worked as a grinder operator at CertainTeed Plastics for over 18 years.

Herman was united in marriage to Vera Mae (Serviss) Burch on April 17, 1982, at McPherson, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Larry Burch of Hesston, KS; a daughter, Linda Biddlecome of McPherson, KS; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frank & John, and two sisters, Martha Regehr and Esther Schmidt.

The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at 10:00 AM at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial wil take place at Buhler Cemetery, Buhler, Kansas. Visitation is Tuesday, September 26, 2006, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
