Henry Huber, Jr. 86, of McPherson, KS, passed from this life on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at The Cedars, McPherson. He was born on January 9, 1929, in Durham, KS, the son of Henry Huber, Sr. and Esther (Berg) Huber.
Henry worked in the oil fields for Rossel Well, Inc. in Texas from 1954 to 1963. He then worked for McPherson BPU from 1968 until he retired in 1992. After retirement, he attended Rama Bible College of O.R.U., receiving his minister’s license in 1993. Upon receiving his license, he and his wife dedicated time to doing missionary work in India.
On November 21, 1948, Henry was united in marriage to Dora Lea Harris in McPherson, KS.
He and Dora Lea attended the New Life Foursquare Gospel Church and Word of Faith, both of McPherson.
Survivors include: his wife, Dora Lea Huber of the home; son, Jim Huber of Lindsborg, KS; two daughters, Leanna Huber of McPherson, KS and Madonna Dobbins (Buddy) of Wichita, KS; brothers, Howard Huber of McPherson, KS and Raymond Huber (Audrey) of Wichita, KS; sisters, Delores Nutter of Pryor, OK and Norma Peterson (Tommy Roberts) of Lindsborg, KS; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The memorial service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2015, at New Life Foursquare Gospel Church, McPherson with Pastor Chuck Baker officiating. Inurnment will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
