Henry T. Ensz, 92, of Inman, KS, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, surrounded by family at Moundridge Manor. He was a farmer, stockman, and carpenter.
Henry was born on February 22, 1931, in rural Inman, KS, the son of Dietrich D. and Anna (Toews) Ensz. On January 30, 1955, Henry was united in marriage to Lorraine Koehn in Montezuma, KS.
He was a member of Zion Church of God in Christ, rural Inman.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 68 years, Lorraine; seven children, Steven Ensz of Inman, KS, Douglas (Gina) Ensz of Greensburg, KS, Karen (Charles) Justus of Othello, WA, Diane (Lynn) Nightingale of Canton, KS, Rosalie Nichols of Inman, KS, Merle (Luanne) Ensz of Inman, KS, and Duane (Kristi) Ensz of Transylvania, LA; sisters, Martha Koehn of Moundridge, KS and Margaret Fehr of Pincher Creek, AB, Canada; sisters-in-law, Mabel Ensz of Louisville, GA and Julie Unruh of Montezuma, KS; brother-in-law, Calvin (Velma) Koehn of Montezuma, KS; 23 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Walt Ensz, Hulda Goossen, Curt Ensz, Marie Ensz, and Ervin Ensz; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Nichols; and two great-grandchildren
The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, December 4, 2023, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Inman. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 5, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. Burial will follow at the Zion Church Cemetery.
