Harold E. "Gene" Rogers, 78, of Galva and formerly of McPherson died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Lindsborg Community Hospital. He was a retired machinist, having worked for Swick-Guth, Bradbury Corp., CertainTeed, and American Maplan.
Mr. Rogers was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy.
A private family graveside service will be on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at the Empire Cemetery, Galva, KS with military honors conducted by the V.F.W. Post #2715 and the American Legion Post #24.
Survivors include: his wife, Pauline of the home; a daughter, Tamlyn Jo Hoppes of High Springs, FL; a brother, James Rogers of McPherson; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
