Guy Hayes

Guy Hayes, 94, of McPherson, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. He had been a McPherson resident since 1942 and was employed at McPherson College from 1950 to 1970 where he served as the head of the Rural Life Dept., Professor of Speech and Debate, Director of Admissions, and assistant football coach. He also worked part-time for Morris & Son Clothiers for 32 years.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 30, at the McPherson Church of the Brethren. Graveside service will be at 1:30 PM Thursday at the Lyons Municipal Cemetery in Lyons, KS. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, Lois of the home; a son, Dr. Larry E. Hayes of San Jose, CA; a daughter, Gail A. Roe of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
