Glen Johnson

Glen M. Johnson, 88, of McPherson, died Wednesday, December 24, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in McPherson. He was a retired railway mowing contractor, custodian, construction worker, and was one of the last in the area to use a team of horses for excavating and grading work.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 27, at the First United Methodist Church. Burial with Military Honors provided by VFW Post #2715 will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, Gladys of the home; two sons, Gene Johnson of McPherson and Dana Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Christine Biere of Highlands Ranch, CO; a sister, Elvessie Johnson of McPherson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Delilah Johnson and Julia LaRoche.
