Frances Maxton

Frances A. Maxton, 94, of McPherson and formerly of Wichita, died Saturday, October 14, 2006, at The Cedars in McPherson. She was a retired elementary school teacher and college professor, having taught at Friends Bible College (now known as Barclay College) in Haviland, KS.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 19, at the McPherson Free Methodist Church Burial, which will precede the memorial service, will be at 9:30 AM McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: her niece and caregiver, Donna Sorenson of McPherson, KS; a sister, Marie Wadleigh of Bella Vista, AR; and ten nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Fox, and two sisters, Marion Read and Anise Easterling.
