Fern Carey

Fern M Carey, 85, lifetime Canton resident, died Thursday, January 5, 2006, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. She was retired from Canton schools where she worked as head cook at Canton High School and assistant cook at Canton Elementary School.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 9, at Valley View Cemetery in Roxbury. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: a son, Harold Carey of Canton; four daughters, Mariam Leffler of Canton, Linda Meier of Marion, Rexann Rouse of Canton, and Dee Bair of Canton; a sister, Marcella Haas of McPherson; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Belew.
