Euna Christian

Euna Arlene Christian, 84, of McPherson passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008, at The Cedars, McPherson. She was a homemaker and also worked for Montgomery Ward and Southwestern Bell Telephone. She was a resident of McPherson from 1960 to 1980 and then from 1992 until present. She was formerly of Kingman, KS (from 1980 to 1992), Ada, OK, and Oklahoma City, OK.

She was born on October 26, 1923, in Hickory, Oklahoma, the daughter of Arthur and Maggie Jane (Goolsby) Wilson. She graduated from high school at Stonewall, OK and attended East Central OK University, Ada, OK.

On January 30, 1950, Euna was united in marriage to S.J. Christian at Ada, Oklahoma. S.J. preceded her in death on May 18, 2005.

Euna was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Y.E.S. Sunday School Class.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Bisop Quintin Moore officiating. A private committal will be held at the McPherson Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.

Survivors include: her son, Tim Christian and wife, Cozette, of McPherson, KS; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.J., four brothers, and three sisters.
