Esther Pool

Esther I. Pool, 88, of McPherson and formerly of Sterling, Colorado, died Monday, July 13, 2009. She was a former sales associate at the J.C. Penney store in Sterling, Colorado. She was also a hostess and banquet coordinator for the Silver Dollar Restaurant in Sterling.

A graveside service and inurnment of cremains will take place at 10:30 AM, on Friday, July 24, at Fairview Cemetery in Phillipsburg, Kansas. A memorial service will be held the following day, Saturday, July 25, at 10:30 AM, at the First Christian Church in Sterling, Colorado. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: a son, Tim Pool and wife, Marcia, of Oklahoma City, OK; two daughters, Cindy Parker and husband, Bob, of McPherson, KS, and Shelley Clemens and husband, Mike, of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Joy Shellito, Emma Grauerholz, and Theresa Quanz.
