Estelle M. Regier

Estelle Mae Regier, 95, of Galva, KS, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, surrounded by family at Brookdale, McPherson.

She was born on December 4, 1928, at her home in rural Galva, KS, the daughter of Albert P. and Clara (Koehn) Unruh. Estelle graduated from Galva High School in 1948. On May 1, 1949, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Lee Regier in McPherson, KS. This union was blessed with four children, Gemma, Teresa, Scott, and Troy. Estelle and Kenneth were married for 66 years prior to his passing on April 12, 2016.

Estelle was a homemaker and also a bookkeeper. She was a member of Wheatland Baptist Church, McPherson.

Survivors include children, Gemma Rickner of McPherson, KS, Teresa (Charles) Unruh of Canton, KS, Scott (Bonnie) Regier of Oklahoma City, OK, and Troy (Debbie) Regier of Canton, KS; 13 grandchildren, Chandra (Brandon) Knowles, Lauren (Peter) Przymus, Blair (José) Rodriguez, Mike (Gia) Unruh, Shannon (Scott) Unruh, Dustin (Brittany) Unruh, Wesley (Jazzmine) Unruh; Charlsie Sullivan (Jesse Lauderdale), Melissa (Hamilton) Doty, David (Ashley) Regier, Daryl Regier, Dana Regier, & Paige (Joe) Johnson; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Norma Achilles of Citrus Heights, CA and Dorothy Regier of  Cornelius, OR; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Clara Unruh; husband, Kenneth Regier; sisters, Lenora Koehn, Vergie Isaac, Pauline Unruh, and Lawanda King; grandson, Levi Charles Unruh; and son-in-law, Larry Rickner. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, November 7, at the Wheatland Baptist Church, McPherson. Burial will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery, Galva.
