Estelle Orcutt, 88, of McPherson, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010, at The Cedars, McPherson. She was a retired teacher and missionary.
Estelle was born on January 5, 1922, in Natal, South Africa, the daughter of William Samuel and Mildred Lucille (Cady) Hoffman. She graduated from Central Christian College in McPherson and from Greenville College in Greenville, IL.
On September 16, 1943, Estelle was united in marriage to Paul Wesley Orcutt in Colorado Springs, CO. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2008.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 3, at the McPherson Free Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Griffith and Rev. Deborah Somerville officiating. Burial will be in the McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Survivors include: son, Jonathan Orcutt and wife, Vickie, of Mission, TX; daughters, Virginia Scott and husband, Tom, of McPherson, KS and Drusilla McLeland and husband, Paul, of West Chicago, IL; three grandchildren, Sarah Orcutt, Katie McLeland, and Brienne Scott; and three step-grandchildren, Travis, Stephany, and Blake. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Samuel and Mildred Lucille (Cady) Hoffman, husband, Paul Wesley Orcutt, a brother, Jess Hoffman, and a sister, Virginia Hoffman.
