Ella Tornquist

Ella Maye Tornquist, 89, of Great Bend & formerly of McPherson, died Saturday, May 10, 2003, at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend. She was a homemaker and childcare provider.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 15, at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: a daughter, Blanche A. Smith, of Great Bend, KS; two sisters, Blanche Edge and Emma Ray McKroskey, both of Springfield, MO; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul D. Tornquist; a daughter, Kathryn M. Viola Hill; two brothers, Franklin and Ted Hall; and a granddaughter, Julie Viola.
