Douglas Walters

Douglas E. Walters, 55, of McPherson, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at his home. He had been employed by CertainTeed Plastics from 1976 to 2004, working as a mold-setter.

He was born July 3, 1955, in Iola, Kansas, the son of Loyd and Doris Walters. He graduated from Iola High School in the class of 1974 and moved to McPherson in 1976.

Survivors include: two brothers, Ron Walters (Susan) of Iola, KS and Steve Walters (Anita) of Galva, KS; a daughter, Kadie Weems of Salina, KS and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Connie Raney.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Inurnment of the cremains will take place at the Geneva Cemetery near Iola, Kansas.
