Dorothy Hardisty

Dorothy A. Hardisty, 91, of McPherson, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Angel Arms, McPherson. She was a homemaker. She was born on February 6, 1917, at Ada, Kansas, the daughter of William C. and Mary A. (Shirley) Wallace. Dorothy graduated from Bennington High School in 1935. On July 19, 1938, she was united in marriage to Lyle V. Hardisty in McPherson, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1991.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Father Laird MacGregor officiating. Burial will be at the Bennington Cemetery, Bennington, Kansas. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Her survivors include: daughters, Verla "Charly" Allenbach of Moundridge, KS, Sharon Hamilton of Sweet Springs, MO, Janice Eaves of McPherson, KS, Mary Long of McPherson, KS, and Rita Vogts of McPherson, KS; brother, Bob Wallace of Minneapolis, KS; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle V. Hardisty, a son, Terry Dale Hardisty, four brothers, Jim Wallace, Dale Wallace, Marion Wallace, & Donald Wallace, a sister, Wilma Schumaker, and granddaughter, Ryan Michelle Vogts.
