Doris Case

Doris Jean Case, 77, of McPherson, died Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Lakeside Home Plus, McPherson. She was born July 15, 1929, at McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of George W. and Mary Sophia (Spear) Morris. Doris graduated from McPherson High School in 1947 and attended McPherson College. On October 10, 1948, she was united in marriage to Galen Case at McPherson, Kansas. She was a homemaker and a dairywoman. She was a lifetime McPherson County resident.

Doris was a member of the First United Methodist Church, 4-H Leader, Macettes E.H.U., United Methodist Women, Sunday School Leader & Teacher, and Founder & Board Member of Elyria Christian School.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church, McPherson with the Rev. David Case, Rev. Mike Marion, and Rev. Harold Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the McPherson Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Her survivors include: her husband, Galen of the home; three sons, Gary Case of Janesville, CA, David Case of McPherson, KS, and Randy Case of McPherson, KS; a daughter, Elaine Ferguson of Salina, KS; a brother, Dale Morris of Tulsa, OK; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
