Doris Bartel

Doris E. Bartel, 78, of McPherson, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at McPherson Hospital. She had lived in McPherson since 1996, formerly of Hillsboro. She was a homemaker.

Doris was born on February 13, 1934, in Hillsboro, KS, the daughter of Henry K. and Agnes E. (Linden) Willems. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1952. On July 3, 1954, she was united in marriage to Oren Lee Bartel in Hillsboro. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1994.

Survivors include: son, Rick Bartel and wife, Deidre, of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Debra Bartel of Columbus, OH and Kathleen Bartel of Tualatin, OR; brothers, Raymond Willems and wife, Dolores, of McPherson, KS and Richard Willems and wife, Geraldine, of Wichita, KS; sister, Virginia Weyand and husband, LaVern, of McPherson, KS; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Albert Willems.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
