Donna Charlene Ross

Donna Charlene Ross, 84, formerly of McPherson, KS, was born February 15, 1934, in Geuda Springs, Kansas into the loving arms of her mother, Thelma H. (Lacey) Ross and her father, John L. Ross. Donna embarked upon a life of caring. She learned her loving ways from not only her parents, but from her brother, Jim Ross, now of Glendale, Arizona, her late brother, Jack Davis, of Winston Salem, NC, and her late sister, Lois Barnes, of Powder Springs, GA. She was a favored aunt to all of her nieces and nephews, always free with her wry sense of humor which she so gratefully inherited from her mother.

Donna was a long time resident of McPherson where she was known for her volunteer work, most lately with McPherson Hospital and New Hope Evangelical Church, where she was a member. She also did volunteer work for Kansas Green Thumb and McPherson Senior Center, where she helped in their Friendship Meals program. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed knitting, ceramic painting, and macramé.

Donna moved to Hiram, Georgia in 2014 to be closer to family who cared for her until her passing into the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Austell, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 16, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Park, McPherson.
