Diane Martin

Diane Kay Martin, 60, of McPherson, KS, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, surrounded by family at McPherson Hospital. 

Diane was born on May 3, 1963, at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, the daughter of James Harold and Janet Jolene (Nelson) Brown.  She graduated from McPherson High School in 1981 and from Hesston School of Nursing in 1988.  On July 5, 1989, Diane was united in marriage to C.D. Martin in Salina, KS.  This union was blessed with the birth of two daughters, Kelsie and Kolby.

Along with being a homemaker, Diane also worked as a pediatric nurse.  She was a member of First Mennonite Church and enjoyed playing with her Bunco group.  Diane was an incredible mom, wife, grandma, daughter, sister, and cheerleader to so many. 

Survivors include: her husband, C.D. of the home; daughters, Kelsie (John) Lenherr of Hutchinson, KS and Kolby (Nick) Mazouch of Lindsborg, KS; mother, Janet Brown of Brighton, CO; grandchildren, Layton Martin, Wava Mazouch, and baby boy Lenherr (expected in April); sister, Sharon (Kelly) Green of Brighton, CO; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; nieces & nephews, Matthew Green, Kaila Green, and David Green; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Brown, and grandparents, Howard & Wava Nelson and Lyle & Jennie Brown.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.  The memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, January 8, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.  The final resting place will be in the Crown Point Cemetery.
