Delta Johnson

Delta F. Johnson, 83, of McPherson, died Friday, May 4, 2007, at The Cedars in McPherson, She was a homemaker and former sales clerk at Graves Drug Store.

She was born October 10, 1923, near Potwin, Kansas, the daughter of Eugene and Nealie (Ullum) Moore. She had been a McPherson resident since 1950, moving from Newton.

On September 12, 1949, she was united in marriage to Carl L. Johnson. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2007.

Delta was a member of the First Christian Church and was a former Cub Scout Den Mother and Brownie leader.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 10, at the First Christian Church. The Rev. Scott Watford will officiate the service. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: a son, Sheldon Johnson and wife, JoAnne, of Oak Ridge, TN; a daughter, Venita Roush and husband, Bill, of Iola, KS; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by a sister, Gladys Young.
