David Goldberg

David R. Goldberg, 71, of McPherson, KS, and formerly a longtime resident of Hutchinson, KS and Virginia Beach, VA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, surrounded by his family at Pleasant View Home, Inman.

David was born on March 28, 1952, in Seattle, WA, the son of Leon N. and Anita M. (Anderson) Goldberg.  He graduated from Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Community College, and Bethany College.  He received his Master’s from Friends University. 

He was a former elementary school teacher and also worked in food service at The Cedars and McPherson College.

David was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hutchinson.

Survivors include his brother, Richard (Diane) Goldberg of McPherson, KS; three nieces, Lynn (Jeff) Smith, Sara (Tom) Miller, and Ruth Goldberg (Nate West); and four great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon & Anita Goldberg, and an aunt, Ruth Ann Goldberg.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
