Cynthia "Cyndi" Sue Pierson

Cynthia “Cyndi” Sue Pierson, 67, of McPherson, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. She worked in the claims department at Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Company, retiring in 2004.

Cyndi was born on November 23, 1948, in McPherson, KS, the daughter of George R. and Deloris M. (Achilles) Williams. She graduated from Windom High School in 1966 and from Adela Hale Business College, Hutchinson. On May 1, 1981, Cyndi was united in marriage to Doug B. Pierson in Newton, KS.

She was a member of McPherson Church of Christ and Mac Area Cruisers.

Survivors include: husband, Doug Pierson of the home; son, David Conley of McPherson, KS; daughter, Carrie Tompkins and husband, Chris, of Grain Valley, MO; brother, Dale Williams and wife, Diane, of South Hutchinson, KS; sisters, Nita Grandestaff and husband, John, of Hutchinson, KS and Patricia Johnson and husband, George, of Lakewood, CO; and four grandchildren, Landon Cary, Brayden Cary, Ethan Cary, and Jillian Sue Conley.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2016, at McPherson Church of Christ with Minister Gary Witcher officiating. Burial will follow at Windom Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
