Constance A. “Connie” Martin, 75, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 15, 2021, at Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita. She was a retired Pentecostal Pastor and Christian Counselor.
Connie was born on March 4, 1946, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of William O. and Lola V. (Kitterman) Brown. She graduated from Perry High School in Perry, KS. On September 16, 1965, Connie was united in marriage to Harris T. “Sonny” Martin. Sonny preceded her in death on November 2, 1992.
She attended The Father’s House in Hutchinson, KS.
Survivors include: two children, H. Todd Martin (Vicki) of McPherson, KS and Sonnie Martin of McPherson, KS; siblings, Coleen Ramos of Lincoln, NE, Loren Brown (Mary) of Spokane, WA, and Leon Brown (Sheila) of Deer Park, WA; ten grandchildren, Lindsay, Tyler, Rebecca, Cierra, Jase, Kayla, Tayler, Luke, Alexis, and Jaron; one great-grandson, Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Lola Brown; husband, Sonny Martin; a sister, Barbara Brown; a brother, Pat Brown; and a son, Robert Martin.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 27, at Countryside Covenant Church. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
