Clifford "Cliff" Kerschner

Clifford H. "Cliff" Kerschner, 82, of McPherson, joined his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 26, 2012, at The Cedars, McPherson. He was the owner/operator of C-K Garage Door Company. In prior years, he had worked at the NCRA Refinery, Kansas Cylinder Head, and owned C-K Vending.

Cliff was born May 16, 1929, in Keely, Kansas, the son of Raymond and Nancy (Biggs) Kerschner. He attended Turkey Creek Grade School, Hutchinson Junior High School, and McPherson High School. Cliff served in the U.S. Army Corps and the U.S. Air Force. On October 18, 1952, he was united in marriage to T-Ann Wallerstedt at Trinity Lutheran Church in McPherson, Kansas.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Hutchinson Collector Car Club, McPherson Mustang Club, B.P.O.E. #502, Masonic Lodge #172, and sang in the Messiah in Lindsborg for 42 years.

Survivors include: his wife, T-Ann of the home; daughter, Tonya A. Kerschner of El Dorado, KS; son, Craig H. Kerschner of Seoul, South Korea; brother, Rex Kerschner of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Virginia Hatfield of Bentley, KS; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Kerschner and JoAnna Kerschner, both of Hutchinson, KS, and Janis Ball and husband, Leon, of Sabetha, KS; nephews, Kirby Kerschner, Larry Kerschner, Kent Kerschner, Ralph Kerschner, Jerry Wayne Kerschner, Brian Ball, and Darwin Ball; nieces, Rondi Caywood, Rexanne Beauchamp, Terri Grooms, and Carla Lowry; and several grand-nieces & grand-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Karen Gail Kerschner, brothers, Don, Richard, and Lonnie Kerschner, sister, Geraldine Robinson, and a niece, Linda Jan Ball.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 30, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Leaf and Pastor Linda Diepenbrock. officiating. Burial will be in the McPherson Cemetery. A luncheon for family and friends will follow the burial at Trinity Fellowship Hall. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
