Clarence Edgell

Clarence Dean "C.D." Edgell, 81, of Rogers, Arkansas and formerly of McPherson, died Friday, September 12, 2008, at his home in Rogers. Prior to retirement, he was the business manager at the McPherson Sentinel where he had worked for over 40 years.

Mr. Edgell was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the military police in the European Theater of Operations.

The funeral service will be on at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, September 17, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, Shari of the home; three daughters, Cheryn Walker and husband, Dennis, of McPherson, Susan Wally and husband, Chris, of Kansas City, KS, and Carrol Wisemiller of Lincoln, NE; two step-sons, Brent Spainhour of McPherson, KS and Brian Spainhour of Merriam, KS; two brothers, Wendell Edgell and wife, Carrol, of Midland, TX and Kenneth Edgell of Wichita, KS; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren.
