Clarence Donaldson

Clarence C. Donaldson, 76, of Fort Dodge and formerly of McPherson, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010, at the Kansas Soldiers' Home in Fort Dodge. He had been employed at several places in McPherson including Wal-Mart, CertainTeed, Femco, and John's Manville.

Clarence was born on January 13, 1934, in Eureka, Kansas, the son of Leonard E. and Nellie (Dimick) Donaldson. Clarence served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and had retired from the Army National Guard. On July 9, 1979, he was united in marriage to Patricia M. (Vance) Allen at the Freemount Lutheran Church in rural Lindsborg. She preceded him in death on May 11, 1992.

Graveside service, with Military Honors, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 29, at the Freemount Lutheran Church Cemetery (rural Lindsborg) with Rev. James Harrison officiating. There will be no visitation.

Survivors include: two sons, Leonard Donaldson and fianc?, Gayla, of Assaria, KS and Clint Donaldson and wife, Shelley, of Salina, KS; two daughters, Dallas Riedel of Salina, KS and Tami Jensen and husband, Bob, of Brookville, KS; two brothers, Dale Donaldson and Daryl Donaldson; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
