Chester Snider

Chester C. "Chet" Snider, 74, of McPherson and formerly of Ulysses, KS, died Monday, October 29, 2007, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. He spent most of his life working in law enforcement and was Sheriff of Harper County, OK, Chief of Police in Ulysses, KS, and Municipal Judge in Ulysses, KS for 20 years.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 1, at the Grace Bible Church in McPherson. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home; family will be present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, DeLois of the home; four daughters, Sheryl Woods of Gage, OK, Cindy DeVon of Enid, OK, Kathy Reese of El Reno, OK, and Connie Mead of Woodward, OK; three sons, Tommy McEachern of Buffalo, OK, Joe McEachern of McPherson, KS, and Charles Peery of Raymore, MO; three sisters, Loretta Ogan of Fresno, CA, Sybl Vincent of Kansas City, KS, and Carolyn Madison of Garber, OK, two brothers, Kenneth Snider and Don Snider, both of Woodward, OK; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
