Charlotte A. Davidson

Charlotte A. Davidson, 76, of McPherson, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Pleasant View Home in Inman. She was a former sales clerk at Babyland and later worked as a bookkeeper at Ace Plumbing.

She was born July 19, 1935, in Dighton, Kansas, the daughter of Roscoe B. "Shorty" and Nettie (Miller) Gunther. She graduated from Dighton High School and earned a teaching certificate at Fort Hays State University.

On June 12, 1955, she was united in marriage to Doyle E. Davidson at Scott City, KS. They have been residents of McPherson since 1964.

Survivors include: her husband, Doyle of the home; two daughters, Renee Fehr (Ron) of Manhattan, KS and Serena Vance (Danny) of McPherson, KS; a daughter-in-law, Karen Steinmetz of Wichita, KS; a brother, Rex Gunther of Otis, CO; four sisters, Joyce Shull of Dighton, KS, Betty Shull of Dighton, KS, Muriel Lawrence of Dodge City, KS, and Alice Smith of Thornton, CO; eight grandchildren, Travis Swanson, Trent Swanson, Tucker Swanson, Bret Fehr, Alec Fehr, Jill Fehr, Antonia Davidson, and Elena Davidson.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Craig Davidson, a brother, Ross Gunther, and three sisters, Nila Zink, Pauline "Bertie" Honstead, and Dorothy Phillips.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the First Christian Church in McPherson. Rev. Lynn Scott will officiate the service. There will be no visitation.
