Carol Mann

Carol J. Mann, 71, of McPherson, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson. She was a homemaker, daycare provider, and a custodian at Roosevelt Elementary School in McPherson.

She was born August 14, 1940, in McPherson, the daughter of Donald Emory and Gertrude Elsie (Weaver) Thomas. On October 10, 1958, she married Donald F. Mann in McPherson. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1983.

Carol was a member of V.F.W. Post #2715 Ladies Auxiliary, Central Kansas Yacht Club, and the Wheat State Road Riders.

Survivors include: three sons, Del Mann (Danita) of Marquette, KS, Don Mann (Vida) of Canton, KS, and Doug Mann (Terri) of McPherson, KS; a daughter, Carla Ballenger (Charles) of Lawrence, KS; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don, a daughter, Vonda L. Mann, and a sister, Shirley Bridges.

The memorial service will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 9, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Rev. Connie Martin will officiate the service. Inurnment will follow in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
