Carl Jones

Carl J. Jones, 91, of McPherson, Kansas died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson, Kansas.

He was born October 16, 1915, in Inman, Kansas, the son of Charles and Anna (Tretbar) Jones. On April 17, 1937, he was united in marriage to Ina Grace Ward at Mena, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2004.

Carl was retired from the McPherson Board of Public Utilities in 1978, working there as an electrician. He also owned and operated Jones Sheet Metal in McPherson.

Carl was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Elks Lodge, both of McPherson.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2007, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Les Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: sons, Michael L. Jones of Omaha, NE and Larry C. Jones of McPherson, KS; a brother, Bob Jones of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Adella Davis of Albany, OR; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.
