Calvin D. Bruner, Sr.

Calvin D. Bruner, Sr., 54, of McPherson, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at McPherson Hospital. He was employed as a shift supervisor for CertainTeed Corporation, where he had worked for 35 years.

Calvin was born on March 28, 1961, in Fulton, Missouri, the son of Ralph E. and Donna Sue (Byrd) Bruner. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1979. Calvin was united in marriage to Kimberly Kay Bledsoe on April 19, 1986, in McPherson, KS.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Kimberly Bruner of the home; nine children, Ricki Davis (Raymon Evans) of McPherson, KS, Casi Scriven (Matthew) of Salina, KS, Calvin Bruner, Jr. (Noel) of Wichita, KS, Kristen Bruner of McPherson, KS, Adam Bruner of McPherson, KS, Ashton Bruner of McPherson, KS, Sierra Bruner of McPherson, KS, Jordan Bruner of McPherson, KS, and Jillian Bruner of McPherson, KS; three brothers, Kevin Bruner (Patricia) of McPherson, KS, Clinton Bruner (Dara) of Wichita, KS, and Donald Bruner of Salina, KS; mother-in-law, Pat Bledsoe of McPherson, KS; four grandchildren, Gaberial Davis, Ian Davis, Temperynce Bruner, and Keaton Evans; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, son, Alex, father-in-law, Buel Bledsoe, brother-in-law, Allen Bledsoe, & aunt and uncle, Goldie and John Murray.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 24, 2015, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. James Hollis officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, October 23, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.
